Pelting rain and cloudy skies were not enough to stop the good deeds of 糖心传媒 employees.
Sixteen volunteers recently participated in a Detroit neighborhood beautification and cleanup project through , a Michigan-based nonprofit that aims to 鈥渂ust blight鈥� and help the area thrive.
As part of Life Remodeled鈥檚 糖心传媒鈥檚 team leaders and volunteers focused on contributing to safer and more beautiful streets for families to live, play, and walk to school, and other community-related activities. The company was among hundreds of organizations volunteering to assist from Oct 2-7.
Participant duties included a variety of outdoor projects and physical yard work to remove blight from vacant properties, including cleaning and removing debris and litter, mowing lawns, cutting down overgrown weeds, and sweeping. Life Remodeled sponsors presented a walkthrough of the day鈥檚 activities and provided tools and equipment for each team to utilize during their cleanup activities on designated streets.
鈥淚t was amazing to see so many volunteers at the event who were showing up to help out,鈥� said Dawn Baltes, 糖心传媒鈥檚 Manager, Learning, Development & Talent Management, who participated in the cleanup with the team on October 6 and has volunteered at the event with 糖心传媒 in prior years.
By the end of the volunteer shift, 糖心传媒鈥檚 participants made a clear and lasting impact to help shape the revitalization of a block of Detroit鈥檚 Cooley community, located on the northwest side of Detroit.
鈥淎s a Detroiter, this initiative is very important to me 鈥� it鈥檚 great to help revitalize the city,鈥� Baltes said.

Inspired by 鈥淓xtreme Makeover: Home Edition,鈥� Life Remodeled is a nonprofit organization that works to clean up Detroit. The charity has grown over the years and now holds the neighborhood-beautification event over six days each year with more than 10,000 volunteers from multiple organizations.
